Mardin bears the traces of different civilizations layered together. PRE-Historical CULTURES The raw materials that summarize Mardin's civilization are "stone and clay", and Mardin holds the "clay seal" that no other civilization has, except for the number of works of art and stone monuments from ancient times. At present, clay has been the most important determining factor of writing, in other words learning, in the world and especially in the regions under the influence of Mesopotamia. Although Mardin has gone through different historical processes with many different language, religion and cultural mosaics, it exhibits the great unity and solidarity that can be seen especially in Mesopotamia and Egypt. Throughout the history of civilization, each age has given birth to a new and different age. After the establishment of the Turkish Republic, Mardin became an important city of this country. At a time when the stability in the world is losing strength day by day, Mardin is starting to return to its former glory days, which has an important place in world history due to its location. At the same time, Mardin is moving confidently and rapidly towards its goal so that the trade route in the past stretching from the Mediterranean to Iran and from the north-south axis of Anatolia to Mesopotamia will once again become an important crossroads. This unique city of Northern Mesopotamia, which is accepted as the Cradle of Mankind all over the world, has once again taken the "Clay Seal" in order to play its important role in history.
